The new art of making books

In The New Art of Making Books, Ulises Carrión explains that texts and books are two different entities, each of them with their own sequence and rhythm. This is the reason why the structure of the text doesn’t always correspond to the structure of the book that welcomes the written content. This publication is intended to isolate each of the sequences that distinguishes the text from the book, specifically the sequence of the paragraphs, the chapters and the pages of the book. In particular, the sequence of the paragraphs was drawn by lot, numbering and drawing lots for each of them contained in the original text and rearranging them following the logic of the case. This method allows to prove that the overall meaning of the text remains understandable regardless of the link between the individual words and the sequence of the book.
