Paradiso artificiale. Indagine critica sul futuro dei Trabocchi
Winner of an European Design Award, Paradiso artificiale is a journey toward awareness related to a place, that of the Trabocchi and Trabucchi, which are fishing machines of the Adriatic coast and constitute a strong symbol of local cultural identity that today is experiencing a moment of crisis. This project is an anthropological analysis that attempts to act as a bridge to seek a point of connection between the needs of modern space and those of historical place: a predisposition to unity inherent in the trabocchi themselves, which are located midway between land and sea. The book stands as a critical essay that is finally divided into six graphic works. Each of these came physically to life in an exhibition at the Petrone Civic Archaeological Museum in Vieste: → Geografia di una corrispondenza → Prendilo, è tuo! → Trabucche Memory → Sottopelle → Dopo la scaduta → tra/fra
